Snovitra is a treatment for erectile dysfunction (male impotence) that contains Vardenafil as its active ingredient. Vardenafil is part of a group of medications known as phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. This medication enhances blood flow to the penis, allowing for the achievement and maintenance of an erection during sexual activity.
Snovitra is available in a 20 mg tablet form. The recommended starting dose is 10 mg, which should be taken one hour prior to sexual intercourse. If no side effects occur, the dosage may be increased to 20 mg. Do not take more than one pill a day. Snovitra typically begins to work within 15 minutes of ingestion and can last for up to 10 hours.
Before commencing Snovitra treatment, inform your healthcare provider about any medical conditions you have, particularly the following: kidney or liver issues, bleeding disorders, stomach ulcers, retinitis pigmentosa, allergies to any medications, penile deformities like angulation or cavernous fibrosis (Peyronie's disease), sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia. Since alcohol can hinder your ability to achieve an erection, it is advisable to avoid excessive alcohol consumption before engaging in sexual activity.
It is not recommended to take Snovitra if you are allergic to its components, if you have undergone treatment with organic nitrates, or if you have taken HIV protease inhibitors like indinavir or ritonavir, or if you are under 16 years of age.
Common side effects include headache, flushing (facial hyperemia), dizziness, temporary memory loss, diarrhea, nausea, and nasal congestion. Levitra is generally well tolerated. However, if you experience rare side effects such as skin photosensitivity, high blood pressure, back pain, watery eyes, low blood pressure, muscle pain, prolonged erections lasting over 4 hours, irregular heartbeat, shortness of breath, or allergic reactions (such as rash or itching), consult your doctor immediately.
Before beginning treatment with Snovitra, disclose to your doctor all medications you are currently taking, particularly erythromycin, ketoconazole, itraconazole, indinavir, ritonavir, alpha-blocking agents, anti-arrhythmic drugs, and clarithromycin. Patients on organic nitrates should not use Snovitra.
Snovitra is intended for use as needed, which makes it unlikely for a dose to be missed.
If you suspect an overdose, seek emergency medical assistance immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe back pain, jaw or arm pain, blindness, blurred vision, chest discomfort or pain, muscle pain, and decreased vision.
Store Snovitra at room temperature between 15-30°C (59-86°F), away from children, pets, moisture, and sunlight.
